I found a stable one in 88.0.705.50 folder and linked it to that one and my Edge is now working properly. there might be more problemsīut my head is clouded with frustration. Well after doing some exploring in the directory, it turns out that it was using a file that was either outdated or non-functional in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\ directory. I also forgot to mention, that i resetted my PC andīefore the reset it was working fine except Microsoft edge was still not working but google chrome was still able to take over for default browser. But since Microsoft edge is permanently my default browser, i cant open any links given to me in games such as minecraft and league of legends and more. Usually I'd just ignore it, and use google chrome. I click terminate but nothing is happening and the delete button is Anyways, I also tried setting my default browser to google chrome and the settings app keeps crashing during the process. Pin to task bar and its still giving me the same two options. Microsoft edge (which also doesn't have an icon on the left) and pin to task bar which is of no use because i cant open Microsoft edge and its already pinned to task bar. When I right click Microsoft edge on my task bar and it gives me 2 options. (I deleted the shortcut of the app because I downloaded google chrome using internet explorer.) I can't unpin it from my task bar and the icon image isn't there now, i can still hover I tried repairing and resetting the app in the app settings which made it worse. It automatically closes itself when i opened it.
